Overview
The Commission has received an application from Lightsview Re-Water Supply Co Pty Limited in accordance with the Water Industry Act 2012 (Water Act). The applicant is seeking approval for the transfer of the water retail licence currently held by Water Utilities Australia Pty Ltd. This licence authorises the operation of water services at Lightsview in the suburb of Northsgate. Specifically the sale and supply of non-potable water services and associated infrastructure.

On 20 March 2018, Lightsview Re-Water Supply Co Pty Ltd applied to the Commission for the transfer of the water retail licence currently held by Water Utilities Australia Pty Ltd.
The Commission assessed the application against the relevant provisions of the Water Industry Act 2012 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 (as they apply to the Commission’s role as an economic regulator of the South Australian water service industries) and determined that all relevant criteria had been satisfied. It has therefore approved the application.
The water retail licence was transferred to Lightsview Re-Water Supply Co Pty Ltd on 20 June 2018. A copy of the application and licence can be accessed below
