Cape Jaffa Anchorage Essential Services Pty Ltd – surrender of licence / issuing of temporary exemption

On 6 September 2022, the Commission received notification from Cape Jaffa Anchorage Essential Services Pty Ltd (CJAES) advising of its intention to surrender its water retail licence, pursuant to section 32 of the Water Industry Act 2012. The licence was surrendered on 31 October 2022. 

To assist in the transition of operations, the Commission, with the approval of the Minister for Environment and Water, granted CJAES a temporary exemption, effective from 1 November 2022 to 30 June 2023 (inclusive), unless varied or revoked sooner. The exemption is subject to the conditions contained in the exemption document.
