The Commission is looking for a professional and inquisitive Data Analyst to join our Digital Transformation Group. If you are ethical, responsive, accountable, have an inquiring mind and enjoy building inclusive relationships, this position may be for you.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Information, the Data Analyst is responsible for contributing to the development of a Regulatory Intelligence (RI) system, which comprises a centralised information repository, and a suite of analytical tools and economic models.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in gathering and collating data from a variety of sources and undertaking data analysis, which will require highly developed Microsoft Excel or Power BI skills and experience with the wider Microsoft Office suite. Your ability to work to a high degree of accuracy with a methodical approach, willingness to learn new concepts, and effective communication skills should be evident in your application.
A relevant tertiary qualification (statistics, business, information technology, economics or related discipline) is desired for this position.
About the Commission
The Commission adds long-term value to the South Australian community by meeting its objective through independent, ethical and expert regulatory decisions and advice. We are a statutory authority established as an independent economic regulator and advisory body to protect the long-term interests of South Australian consumers with respect to the price, quality and reliability of essential services.
Our role incorporates licensing, consumer protection, service standards, pricing, monitoring, compliance and public reporting in the water, electricity and gas industries, and access regulation of essential ports and rail infrastructure. We also provide advice and conduct Inquiries to inform the South Australian Government on economic and regulatory policy issues, and provide advice to local government.
