Electricity generation licence application – AGL Torrens Island Battery Pty Ltd – change of applicant to AGL SA Generation Pty Ltd

The Commission has received an application from AGL Torrens Island Battery Pty Ltd for an electricity generation licence to operate a 250 megawatt battery generating plant, located on Torrens Island.
AGL Torrens Island Battery Pty Ltd has provided the Commission with a written request that the applicant be changed to related entity, AGL SA Generation Pty Ltd, who will be responsible for the operation of the generating plant.
The application was previously subject to a four-week public consultation period, which ended on 2 May 2022. As a result of the change of applicant, the Commission has reopened the public consultation period, which will now close on 11 July 2022. The Commission welcomes submissions on any matters relevant to the application.
