REES Code proposed amendments 2014 - Archived

On 29 November 2013, the Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy announced
that the Government of South Australia will extend REES to 2020 and expand it to
include small businesses. On 18 August 2014, the Department of State Development
released a Consultation Paper on the proposed REES thresholds, metrics and
activity specifications to apply from 1 January 2015.
It is proposed that from 1 January 2015 the Residential Energy Efficiency
Scheme will be replaced by the Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme. To reflect the
Department's proposed changes, the Commission has reviewed and proposes changes
to the REES Code.
Stakeholders are encouraged to review the Draft Decision and are invited to
comment in writing by 7 November 2014.
