SA Rail access regime review - Final report - Archived
07 Sep 2015
The Commission has finalised its Inquiry into the Access Regime that applies
to the major intrastate railways in South Australia. The release of this Final
Report marks the completion of the SA Rail Access Regime Review.
The final recommendation of this review is that the current regime that
provides for third party access to South Australian railway infrastructure
services should continue from 31 October 2015 for a further five-year
period.
The Commission has formed the view that there are some areas where the Access
Regime could be improved to make it more effective. Those areas are:
- Clarifying the scope of regulated infrastructure services
- Investigating opportunities for greater integration of transport access
regimes
The Final Report has been prepared following public consultation on an Issues
Paper in February 2015 and a Draft Report in June 2015.
