Approval granted for electricity generation licence– Pumped Hydro (SA) Pty Ltd - Archived

On 16 October 2019, the Commission issued an electricity generation licence to Pumped Hydro (SA) Pty Ltd for the operation of a generating plant with a maximum output capacity of 230 megawatts (MW), located at Lincoln Gap, approximately 12km southwest of Port Augusta.

The Commission assessed this application against the relevant provisions within the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied. It has therefore approved the application.
