Exemption to hold an electricity generation licence application – Scentre Shopping Centre Management - Archived

The Commission has received an application for an exemption from the requirement to  hold an electricity generation licence from Scentre Shopping Centre Management (SA) Pty Limited in accordance with the Electricity Act 1996 (Electricity Act). The applicant is seeking an exemption from the requirement to hold an electricity generation licence for operating a 540 kilowatt solar generating plant, located at Westfield Marion Shopping Centre. The applicant currently holds an electricity generation licence authorising these operations that was issued  by the Commission on 14 December 2017.

The application is subject to a public consultation period closing on 23 July 2021. The Commission welcomes submissions on any matters relevant to the application.
