Minimum specifications (Archive)
The Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES) which ran from 1 January 2009 to 31 December 2020, has been replaced by Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS).
The Minister for Energy and Mining (Minister) has the function of maintaining, reviewing and amending the list of eligible Energy Efficiency Activities (including energy savings values and minimum specifications) and minimum requirements for energy audits for the purposes of the Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES).
The Minister has approved a REES Ministerial Protocol that guides the Minister in determining the range of approved energy efficiency activities and sets out reporting requirements for the Commission in its role as scheme administrator.
