Approval granted for electricity transmission licence exemption – Goyder Wind Farm Common Asset

On 25 January 2023, the Commission, with the approval of the Minister for Energy and Mining, issued Goyder Wind Farm Common Asset Pty Ltd an exemption from the requirement to hold an electricity transmission licence. 

The transmission line will connect the Goyder Wind Farm, located approximately 20km south of Burra, South Australia, to the ElectraNet Robertstown substation. The Goyder Wind Farm will be owned and operated by the related entities Goyder Wind Farm 1 Pty Ltd and Goyder Wind Farm 1B Pty Ltd. The transmission line is approximately 33km long. 

The Commission undertook a round of public consultation in relation to the application and received no submissions from stakeholders.
