The Commission has received an application from Port Adelaide Energy Pty Ltd for an electricity generation licence to operate a 154 megawatts (MW) (name plate capacity) gas and diesel generating plant with a maximum export capacity of 150.4MW, located at Outer Harbour and North Osborne.

Final
On 20 October 2021, the Commission issued an electricity generation licence to Port Adelaide Energy Pty Ltd for the operation of a 154 megawatt (MW) (name plate capacity) gas and diesel generating plant with a maximum export capacity of 150.2MW, located at:
- Lot 205 Pelican Point Road, Outer Harbour
- Lot 27 Pelican Point Road, Outer Harbour
- Lot 151 Pelican Point Road, Outer Harbour, and
- Lot 502 Mersey Road, North Osborne.
The Commission undertook a round of public consultation in relation to the application and received no submissions from stakeholders.
The Commission assessed Port Adelaide Energy Pty Ltd application for an electricity generation licence against the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied. It has therefore approved the application.
