The Commission has received an application from Diamond Energy Generation Pty Ltd for the transfer of the current electricity generation licence of Diamond Energy Pty Ltd. Diamond Energy Generation Pty Ltd seek to take over the operation of a 1.06MW solar generating plant located in Monash, South Australia.

On 20 April 2022, the Commission authorised the transfer of Diamond Energy Pty Ltd’s electricity generation licence to Diamond Energy Generation Pty Ltd for the operation of a 1.06MW solar generating plant located in Monash, South Australia.
The Commission undertook a round of public consultation in relation to the application and received no submissions from stakeholders.
The Commission assessed Diamond Energy Generation Pty Ltd’s application for an electricity generation licence against the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied. It has therefore approved the application.
