The Commission has issued an electricity generation licence to Goyder Wind Farm 1 Pty Ltd, authorising the operation of a wind farm generation plant, with a total nameplate capacity of 209MW and total export capacity of 201MW, located approximately 20km south of Burra.

Final
The Commission has issued an electricity generation licence to Goyder Wind Farm 1 Pty Ltd, authorising the operation of 38 x 5.5MW GE Wind Turbines, for a total nameplate capacity of 209MW, with an export capacity of 201MW. The wind turbines will be located approximately 20km south of Burra.
The Commission undertook a round of public consultation in relation to the application and received no submissions from stakeholders.
The Commission assessed Goyder Wind Farm 1 Pty Ltd’s application for an electricity generation licence against the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts were satisfied. It has therefore approved the application.
