Approval of SA Water’s application to vary its water retail licence - Archived

On 14 December 2017, the Commission varied SA Water’s water retail licence to authorise the provision of retail services, operations or activities provided, carried on or undertaken by the licensee from time to time.
The Commission assessed the application against the relevant provisions of the Water Industry Act 2012 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 (as they apply to the Commission's role as an economic regulator of the South Australian water and sewerage service industries). This included section 18(2) of the Act which provides SA Water with the entitlement to hold a licence appropriate to the services, operations or activities provided, carried on or undertaken by it from time to time.
