Small-scale networks assessment

The small-scale networks assessment project builds upon the assessment process introduced as part of the Verify, Trust and Accountability (VTA) approach in 2022 and aligns with the Local Government (LG) advice work focused on councils.

By looking at how well the infrastructure is maintained, the quality of asset management, and the adequacy of funding for small water networks, this project aims to pinpoint networks at risk of failing to provide essential services to their communities. This proactive approach will help the Commission engage with service providers early to address any issues that may be identified and in so doing protect the long-term interests of South Australian consumers.
