The Commission has released a Draft Report on its review of the South Australia Rail Access Regime and is seeking public input into its recommendations.

The draft recommendation of this review is that the current regime that provides for third-party access to South Australian railway infrastructure services should continue from 31 October 2015 for a further five-year period. The Commission has, however, formed the preliminary view that there are some areas where the Access Regime could be improved to make it even more effective. Those are to clarify the scope of regulated infrastructure services, and to investigate opportunities for greater integration of transport access regimes.

The Commission invites written submissions to the Draft Report. Consultation on the Draft Report will close on 14 July 2015. The Commission will consider all comments received and will prepare a Final Report for release in October 2015.
