Environmental land services reticulated LPG distribution licence varied - Archived

On 12 September 2014, Environmental Land Services (ELS) applied to the Commission for a variation to its reticulated LPG distribution licence. Specifically, ELS applied to have the area covered by its licence extended so that it would be authorised to distribute reticulated LPG to residents of new developments in the Mount Barker area (its licence previously only authorised ELS to distribute reticulated LPG to residents of Mount Barker's Bluestone Estate).

The Commission undertook 4 weeks of public consultation in relation to the application, which closed on 10 October 2014. No submissions were received.

In making its decision, the Commission assessed the application against the relevant provisions of the Gas Act 1997 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and considered advice received from the Office of the Technical Regulator regarding  technical matters relevant to the application. At its meeting on 26 November 2014, the Commission determined that all relevant criteria were satisfied and approved the application.
