Variation to electricity generation licence application – SA Power Networks - Archived

The Commission has varied SA Power Networks’ electricity generation licence, to amend the authorisation of four GE TM2500 aero derivative turbines (each 30.7MW) with a maximum output of 122.8MW at Lonsdale. The variation extends SA Power Networks’ authorisation for the period 27 September 2017 to 31 October 2020 (inclusive), noting that from 1 November 2020 Infigen Energy SAGT Pty Ltd is licensed to operate the generating plant.
The Commission assessed this application against the relevant provisions within the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied. It has therefore approved the application.
