Approval granted for electricity generation licence application – Pirie Solar Farm Pty Ltd - Archived

On 29 October 2018, the Commission issued an electricity generation licence to Pirie Solar Farm Pty Ltd for the operation of a solar generating plant with an export capacity capped at 4.9 MW, located at Port Pirie.
The Commission assessed this application against the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 (as they apply to the Commission’s role as an economic regulator of the South Australian electricity industry) and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied.
