Approval granted for electricity generation licence application – Mannum Stage 2 Battery Subco Pty Ltd

On 18 March 2025, the Commission issued an electricity generation licence to Mannum Stage 2 Battery Subco Pty Ltd (ACN 655 076 681) as trustee for Mannum Stage 2 Battery Unit Trust (ABN 35 640 362 195) for an electricity generation licence to operate a battery energy storage system with a 100MW export limit, located on Mannum Road approximately, 4 kilometres west of the township of Mannum.

The Commission assessed this application against the relevant provisions within the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied. It has therefore approved the application.
