Energy concessions are administered by the
Department for Communities and Social Inclusion. A new guide for managing
electricity, gas and water costs and services was released by the Minister for
Communities and Social Inclusion on 15 February 2016. The
guide is available to download for free.
If you are on a low income you may be able to
receive a concession on your home energy bills. Check your eligibility for the
energy bill concession using the Concessions Finder website.

Medical heating and cooling concession
If you have a medical condition affected by
temperature you may be eligible for a concession on your energy bills.
The medical heating and cooling concession was
introduced on 1 January 2012 and is administered by the Department for
Communities and Social Inclusion.
