The Commission has released the 2014 REES Annual Report. The Report assesses
the overall performance outcomes for REES in 2014 and REES Stage Two
(2012-2014).
The key 2014 outcomes were:
- all energy audit and greenhouse gas reduction (energy efficiency) targets
were met in 2014 with some retailers having accrued energy credits to carryover
to subsequent REES years
- 42 per cent of greenhouse gas reductions were delivered to priority group
households
- 40 per cent of activities and energy audits were conducted in regional and
remote areas
- low-cost activities, such as standby power controllers, showerheads and
light globes, continue to account for the bulk of activities undertaken
