ESCOSA commences new role as Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme AdministratorOn 21 August 2008, the SA Government made Regulations under the Electricity and Gas Acts giving effect to its Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES). The Regulations establish the Commission as the administrator of the REES, set to commence on 1 January 2009. The REES is a new energy efficiency scheme providing incentives for SA households to achieve greenhouse gas reductions and potentially lower their energy bills through reduced energy consumption. |
