From 2012, the Commission will make an annual public call for applications for new REES activities, including applications to vary or delete existing activities. This process is currently underway for 2012, with a public call for applications made on 28 June 2012 which closed on 27 July 2012.

The Commission received two applications for new activities which are currently being assessed. This project, including any amendments to the REES Code, will be finalised by 6 December 2012.

In accordance with clause 7.2.1 of the REES Code, a person may make an application to the Commission seeking the Commission's determination that a new energy efficiency activity should be approved.  Such application must be made using the following New Energy Efficiency Activities Application Form:

This public call also covers any party seeking to make application to vary or delete existing energy efficiency activities.

Applicants should be aware that the Commission will ordinarily publish an application and associated relevant information in relation to it in either printed or electronic form generally to the public for the purposes of consultation.

If any elements of an application or associated information are considered to be confidential to the applicant, that information should be clearly identified to the Commission.

Interested parties are referred to REES Bulletin No.12 for further information on the process for making applications.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 27 July 2012.

Any REES enquiries should be addressed to: rees@escosa.sa.gov.au
