Review of Energy Guideline No 4 - 2010
The Commission has recently undertaken a review of the form and content of Energy Industry Guideline No 4 (Compliance Systems and Reporting) and proposed various amendments.
The Commission has reviewed the submissions that were provided in response to the Draft Decision and, taking into account the issues raised, now releases its Final Decision.
The amended version of Guideline No 4 will become effective from 1 July 2010.
Energy Industry Guideline No. 4 - Compliance Systems and Reporting (Guideline 4) sets out the Commission’s expectations and requirements in relation to a licensee’s compliance system and compliance reporting arrangements.
The Commission has recently undertaken a review of the form and content of Guideline 4 and a Draft Decision on the review and the amended version of Guideline 4 have been released and are available on the Commission's website.
The Commission is seeking written comment on the amended version of Guideline 4 from interested parties. Comments on the amended Guideline should be provided to the Commission by the close of business on Friday 28 May 2010.
Subject to stakeholder feedback, it is the Commission’s intention for the amended version of Guideline 4 to become effective on 1 July 2010, to apply to the 2010/2011 compliance reporting period.

Submissions
The Commission has recently undertaken a review of the form and content of Guideline No 4 and proposed various amendments. The purpose of the review was to consider whether the content of Guideline No 4 was accurate and up to date and adequately conveyed the Commission's expectations in relation to the compliance reporting scheme it administers. In addition, the Commission reviewed whether the level of regulatory intervention involved with the compliance reporting scheme remained appropriate.

The amended version of Guideline No 4 will become effective from 1 July 2010 so that it applies to the 2010-2011 regulatory year.
