On the 16 July 2020, the Commission authorised the transfer of an electricity generation and distribution licence held by EN Project Company One Pty Ltd to CPE Funding Pty Ltd and has varied the licence to authorise the operation of a 550 kilowatt solar generating plant, with an export capacity limited to 199 kilowatt, located at 90 Sherriffs Road Morphett Vale.

Final

On 16 May 2018, the Essential Services Commission (Commission) issued an electricity generation and distribution licence to EN Project Company One Pty Ltd, authorising the operation of two solar generation plants at Murray Bridge Marketplace (maximum capacity 950 kW) and Mt Gambier Marketplace (maximum capacity 600 kW).

The Commission assessed EN Project Company One Pty Ltd’s application for electricity generation and distribution licences against the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied.  

EN Project Company One Pty Ltd applied for electricity generation and distribution licences on 1 February 2018. The Commission undertook a round of public consultation and received no submissions from stakeholders. In making its assessment, the Commission sought technical advice from the Australian Energy Market Operator and the Technical Regulator.
