The Commission has received an application from Enerven Energy Infrastructure Pty Ltd for an electricity distribution licence. The applicant is seeking to operate an existing electricity distribution network located near the towns of Woomera and Pimba.

On 14 February 2018, the Essential Services Commission issued an electricity distribution licence to Enerven Energy Infrastructure Pty Ltd to enable the operation of an existing electricity distribution network located at and near the towns of Woomera and Pimba.
The Commission assessed Enerven Energy Infrastructure Pty Ltd’s application for an electricity distribution licence against the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act 1996 and the Essential Services Commission Act 2002 and determined that all relevant criteria under those Acts have been satisfied.
Enerven Energy Infrastructure Pty Ltd applied for an electricity distribution licence on 14 December 2018. The Commission undertook a round of public consultation in relation to the application and received no submissions from stakeholders. In making its assessment, the Commission sought technical advice from the Technical Regulator.
