Water retail licence variation – District Council of Franklin Harbour - Archived

The Commission has received an application from the District Council of Franklin
Harbour for a variation to its water industry retail licence (licence) in
accordance with the Water Industry Act 2012 (Act).
Currently, the licence
held by District Council of Franklin Harbour authorises it to retail potable
water services to customers within its council boundary and sewerage services to
customers in the township of Port Gibbon. The District Council of Franklin
Harbour has applied to add to its licence the provision of sewerage services to
residential and non-residential customers in the township of Cowell and the sale
and supply of non-potable water to leased Council-owned land for irrigation
purposes.
The application submitted by the District Council of Franklin
Harbour is subject to a public consultation period which ends on 6 July 2016.
Any persons wishing to provide a submission to the Commission on the application
are asked to provide it by the close of business on this date.
