Request for approval of a new distribution system - Australian Gas Networks - Archived

The Commission has received an application from Australian Gas Networks Limited requesting approval of a new distribution system in accordance with schedule 3(c) of its gas distribution licence.

Currently, Australian Gas Networks Limited has the following licensed operations:

  • The distribution system used by the licensee to carry on the business of transporting natural gas at the commencement of this licence (in as far as that system constitutes a distribution system for the purposes of the Act)
  • Any extension to that distribution system, and
  • A new distribution system (that does not extend from that system) approved by the Commission.

Australian Gas Networks Limited is seeking approval for the provision of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) services in the Mount Barker, Littlehampton and Nairne area.

The application submitted by Australian Gas Networks Limited is subject to a public consultation period which ends on 16 December 2016. Any persons wishing to provide a submission to the Commission on the application are asked to provide it by the close of business on this date.
