Power Line Environment Committee (PLEC) Annual Report 2016-17 16 Oct 2017 The 2016-17 Power Line Environment Committee (PLEC) Annual Report has been published and provided to the Minister for Energy in accordance with the PLEC Charter. It has been distributed to representative organisations of PLEC, local Councils and Members of Parliament. During the year PLEC recommended seven submissions for funding to the total value of $6,850,000. These were approved for construction for the 2017-18 undergrounding program. Of the projects approved, 53 percent of funding was allocated to Council projects in the metropolitan area and the remaining 47 percent of funding allocated to projects in regional areas.
