The Commission has received an application from LMS Energy Pty Ltd for an electricity generation licence in accordance with the Electricity Act 1996. The applicant is seeking to operate a generation plant at the NAWMA Balefill Landfill site in Uleybury. The generation plant consists of a reciprocating engine and solar photovoltaic cells with a total combined maximum output capacity capped at 2.2 megawatts (MW).
The application submitted by LMS Energy Pty Ltd is subject to a public consultation period which ends on 14 April 2017. Interested parties wishing to make a submission on this licence application should prepare a submission which addresses the criteria noted above.
