Dr Paul Kerin

Paul Kerin joined the Commission as CEO on July 4, 2011. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Adelaide’s School of Economics, a Professorial Fellow at Melbourne Business School, a Member of the Board of the Adelaide Central Market and a Member of the Advisory Board of the University of Adelaide’s Business School.

Paul’s career has spanned the gamut of academia, business, media, public policy and regulation. Prior to joining the Commission, Paul was Professorial Fellow at Melbourne Business School, a director of Wheat Exports Australia and a columnist with The Australian.

Most of Paul’s career has been in the private sector, where he was Managing Director of AT Kearney (Australia & New Zealand) and held various directorships. He has also served in the not-for-profit sector, where his roles included Chairman of Prahran Market. Paul spent his early career as an economist in the South Australian Public Service.

A Fulbright Scholar, Paul earned his PhD in Business Economics at Harvard University, where he served as the George Dively Research Fellow in the Centre for Business & Government. Paul also holds Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) and Master of Economics degrees from the University of Adelaide.
